Having gained a BA (Hons) degree in photography through the University of Plymouth and a Masters in Commercial Photography through Arts University Bournemouth, photography has been Susie's passion for the longest time. For a number of years she was lucky enough to use it in the context of her work as a journalist and magazine editor, but it also enabled her to fuel her other passion - horses. For many years Susie covered multi-disciplinery equestrian events and made her name as an equine portraitist.
Following retirement from the press and a life-changing move from Scotland to the South West of England, Susie now has time to pursue her personal projects as well as fulfilling commercial assignments.
Susie's specialisms continue to include horses, the land, country life and studio still life, with a particular interest in farming issues such as the decline of the traditional family farm, especially dairy. Susie also melds alternative processes with modern technology and other mediums.
